Bridesmaid Book
This holiday, bridesmaids, be of good cheer! If holiday bridesmaid duty has you down, good tidings are coming in January in the form of Florida soapmaker Marilynn Griffith’s debut novel “Made of Honor.” This bridesmaid book begins with a hilarious premise for one hapless heroine, a ten- time bridesmaid about to go into her eleventh wedding. You’ll empathize with this bridesmaid/ bath and body products producer so much, you’ll fill up the tub with something bubbly, crack open this book, and laugh until you cry!

Bridesmaid Getaway
In the past, the best a bridesmaid could hope for in return for her faithful bridesmaid service was a halfway decent bridesmaid gift. Now, however, the pot has been sweetened. What better bridesmaid payback could there be than a potentially free vacation? The new trend of destination weddings provides bridesmaids with an awesome opportunity to do bridesmaid duty abroad, while working on their tans and flirting with locals along the way. All you have to do is convince your bride-buddy to buy one of Dessy’s delicious new destination wedding dresses; once she falls in love with one of these beautiful beach wedding dresses, it’s all travel brochures and suntan lotion for bridesmaids ... sunscreen anyone?

BYOW Bridesmaids
Bad news, bridesmaids: Many of us have heard the news that Napa Valley will not be allowing nuptials on its premises any time soon. Weddings at the winery were vetoed due to agricultural concerns and community interests. Good news for Napa Valley residents, bummer for thirsty bridesmaids who were looking forward to sampling the free vino! Well, when in a pinch, we say BYOW bridesmaids! Craftily conceal your delicious libations in one of these! If anyone asks, just say it’s your bridesmaid gift!

Bridesmaid Masquerade
If you think your bridesmaid dress belongs in a costume store, consider this tale from the nuptial crypt: Louisiana couple Joe Bison and Jennifer Krohn got married on Halloween in a gothic-themed ceremony, with the happy couple dressed as vampires and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen dressed up in costumes. The flower girl even flung plastic spiders instead of rose petals. Freaky? Definitely. But with bridesmaids sporting everything from Tina Turner costumes to authentic Chinese dress, maybe a little refreshing too. Then again, maybe they just saw that Tim Burton movie too many times. Plan your own bridesmaid masquerade with these fun props like this, this or this...

Bridesmaid style: Diaz does it Best
Any bridesmaid, bride, junior bridesmaid, or warm-blooded female ran, not walked, in her best stilettos to see the movie “In Her Shoes,” based on the book by best-loved author Jennifer Weiner. While there, we hope you took some tips from Cameron Diaz’s awesome bridesmaid style. The sexy Diaz, for the first time in the movie, chose not to overwhelm Toni Collette’s more subtle loveliness. In a delicate pink shift, and simple sandals, Diaz allowed the bride her moment of beauty; and it was spectacular. Copy Diaz’s demure bridesmaid style with dresses like this. By the way, did you know Jennifer Weiner also got married in a Halloween-themed ceremony…
