Bridesmaids’ Dresses Cost A Pretty Penny

According to some new disturbing statistics released by Conde Nast, the average wedding has five bridesmaids, and the average cost of a bridesmaid dress is $138. Say it with us: Holy Moly, that’s a lot of money. The silver lining? The loopholes in this statement just may acquit your from attendant duty. For example, if you’re the sixth attendant, you could tactfully wrangle out of buying that bridesmaid’s dress by informing your bride she has technically exceeded her bridesmaids’ quota. Or, point to the new statistic which states that 30% of couples pay for their own bridal costs. Tell her you don’t want her spending precious money on bridesmaids’ gifts for you, and that you’ll gladly sacrifice bridesmaid duty to save her costs. And if these attempts don’t work, beg for Dessy dresses, so you’ll at least look hot walking down the aisle in your hard-earned bridesmaid dress.
